– Joe Kelley, a 15-year veteran of the hospitality industry, has been appointed general manager of The Osprey at Beaver Creek, A RockResort
– the closest ski-in/ski-out hotel to a chairlift in North America. In his new position, Kelley will oversee operations of the 47-room hotel that opened in December 2008, and is known for its chic design, personalized service and playful amenities.
Kelley joins The Osprey from fellow RockResort property, La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa, NM, where he was director of operations of the 157-room award-winning resort. During his tenure, he oversaw guest satisfaction and service levels, instituting new procedures and processes to increase satisfaction scores. Prior to joining RockResorts in 2007, Kelley spent eight years with Sandals Resorts, holding management positions at Caribbean locales, including Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort, Sandals Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa, and Sandals Antigua Beach Resort & Spa. Previously, Kelley gained leadership and F&B experience during tenures held at Radisson Aruba Caribbean Resort, and The Elms Resort, Conference Center and Spa in Excelsior Springs, MO. Kelley holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.
